I am looking for an easy load in both sensitivity and impedance - I guess for affordability this tends to steer more towards vintage loudspeakers.

Hi,
I have 2 pairs of speakers that might fit the bill for you but they are both DIY projects.
I have a pair of Frugal Horns MkIII. You can see them on ebay at the moment.
I also have a pair of single driver Audio Nirvana speakers with 10 inch drivers. I have used these as my main speaker for the last 5-6 years as nothing else got close. They are very clear and detailed. About 98dB sensitivity.
If you are interested they would have to be pick up only as they are too large to consider postage of any sort.
I live in South Wales NP26. Happy to deliver to you if you are within about 90 minutes. You would be welcome to come and have a listen.
I have used both speakers with a 300B power amplifier and a 2.3 watt Decware amp.
