Just bought a Clearaudio Concept Signature - the internet advises me to get their 12V DC PSU ro really reap the benefits of the deck’s capabilities, but the asking price is eye watering. Not much change from a grand.
Any alternatives I could look at? Any sellers in the ‘Trade Imprsssions’ section here who specialise in this?
This might be an alternative which has a bit lower price:

Hi, Jostber
Yes, saw that in a Google search...don't really want to have to deal with MCRU again if I can help it. I've always felt like I was being an inconvenience to them.

Speak to Nick at Longdog Audio, he's the one that designs and builds them. Or I can speak to him for you if you want to PM your contact details, he's a good friend of mine.

Cheers, Ali…will do.
The standard 'wall wart' is a 12V DC turntable power supply. I can't imagine changing the power supply will solve your hum problem.

No, no, I was asking this a couple of weeks ago, when I'd read that a PSU upgrade would give me an audible improvement is sound. This was way before I'd noticed the earth buzz.

I use one with a 401. The improvement is not subtle.
