With many venues throughout the land closing their doors for the last time, quality live music is becoming rare due to low attendence. With ticket sales amounting to a couple of pints of you favourite tipple to see and hear fantastic musicians play new and invigorating new music at a fraction of the price that bands offering much larger production and grander halls in major cities play. I think you get my drift? The North East of the UK is a vibrant melange of musical style and heritage. That's why Newcastle was chosen to host the Mercury prize awards!
On Friday 24th of October there is a chance to attend a great event at St Georges Venue in Hartlepool. Two seasoned musicians Tony Patterson and Doug Melbourne will be performing original music from their three albums albums having formed a unique writing/recording collaboration since 2019. Tony and Doug have been for many years the singer and keyboard player for ReGenesis (one of the most successful Genesis tribute bands in Europe) before deciding to concentrate on their own compositions.
Also playing will Be Candacraig. A wonderful partnership of Sharon Cannings and Martin Nicholls. Candagraig will be playing music with the aid of video enhancement music from their most recent album Lit By Lightning. Believe me when i say this gig will be a treat!
Don't be one of the folks who say after the event "I wish i had gone to see that gig".
St Georges Venue in Hartlepool is a fantastic place with great acoustics and no better place to listen to all musical genres. Support these great artists and get you arse there!!! Tickets are on sale now or you can pay on the door. There is a licensed bar and ample parking close by. I'll see you there. Please share this post as much as possible. Many thanks.
