Michell PSU

If the worst outcome does materialise and repairs to my Clearaudio prove to be economically absurd, then I'll be fulfilling a long-time craving for a Michell, probably a Gyro SE (I have my eye on a few at the moment).

Does anyone have suggestions for an acceptable alternative to Michell's own PSU upgrade? I'm sure it's just dandy, but at £800 a pop, I'm not sure that it would be within my financial grasp.

There's a seller on eBay with good feedback, churning out alternatives at £149, but I am concerned (possibly mistakenly, given that most things are made there now) that the fact that they're being made to order in China might prove to be a waste of money...does anyone have experience of these? Or should I just wait until I've lived with the sound of the Michell for a while?

You could make one. Just ask Grok or another AI how to do it. But your deck will probably be a DC affair so you can't copy what I did.

Don't attempt it if you don't feel comfortable with it, though.

Go cheap and just use that app I used at the end of my thread.

If it doesn't look good, then consider an upgrade. I suspect it will be OK though.
