Having bought a Pulsar two years ago, an upgrade on a Zen Mk3 purchased when they came out around 2016/7, the product range seems to have gone all over the place and decidedly high-end.

They keep on doing these offers, but I would be partial to a Stream 3 with the PhoenixDAC, announced ages ago but still not released.

According to the table, the only upgrade path is to the Zen Next-Gen, £9,400 + £1,100 for the USB output card that is already included with the Pulsar. So £10,500 less 30% (£3,150) so £7,350 to upgrade a streamer that for most owners is probably less than 2 years old and in my case cost £4,800 new. At the time it was the top streamer below the 2-box statement level.

So is there any news on the PhoenixDAC and pricing/offers?

I have two available DACs, one built in (Gryphon Diablo 300), the other standalone (Holo Cyan2 - replaced a Holo May L2 that took too much space).
