For Sale: Triangle Celius 202 Loudspeakers

Hi All,

Up for sale are my set of Triangle Celius 202 loudspeakers (cherry finish). I have owned these of many years and I have been thrilled with the sound and looks, I am only selling as my dad has given up his speakers so I am taking on those as an upgrade.

The general condition is excellent, with just a few minor knocks to the edges of the black front fascia. The speakers come with all of the original packaging and boxes, instruction manuals, terminal links and spikes.

I have been using these with the grilles on for the last 14 years as I put them on when my first child was born to protect the cones. Since removing the grilles at the weekend I have noticed that the rubber surround to one of the tweeters has become slightly tacky to touch, I presume from UV over the years. Also, one of the bass port surrounds has become unglued and so was a bit loose, but this has been quite happily pushed back in place. I decided against gluing it in case a future owner decided to and it is fine friction fitted into place. I feel that these defects are all minor and to be expected for a set of speakers of their age. Nevertheless, I wanted to be open about them in the interest of clarity.

£300 collection only from Wallingford, Oxfordshire (I would be happy to travel a reasonable distance to meet a buyer by agreement).

I understand the wear and signs of age, does it effect its performance and will it need a replacement in near future if that’s at all possible?

Hi, are you referring to the rubber surround to the tweeter? I don’t think performance is affected at all, indeed I only noticed it when I removed the grille to take the photos for the advert. I would be very surprised if it would need replacing, but I cannot provide any guarantees of course.
