Reluctantly up for sale, as i have bought a pair of quad II monos and it's not going to go down well unless i sell something.
I have owned this twice, having sold it and bought it back again on Pinkfish. That's how much i like it.
It's the piece of kit i have owned the longest.
I have used this with Kef coda 3, kef 104/2, Yamaha soavo 2, and Stirling ls3/5a v3.
It is a 5.5w single ended el84 power amplifier.
Built by firebottle (AOS).
It was converted to SE and the build thread is on AOS if you hunt for it.
All new capacitors, etc.
I have been using a lot since i got it, and it hasn't put a foot wrong.
And sounds excellent.
Comes with -
a mullard and mazda el84.
A lot of extra nos pcc85 are included -
telefunken
lorenz
valvo
siemens s&h
miniwatt
mullard (i think)
So tube rolling of some of the big names at a fraction o the cost as they are not the most common valves used.
I have used this with both passive and valve preamps to good effect.
