i2s Cable Reccomendation - this is a cracker.

My Bluray player and CD transport both use i2s connections into my dac.
Been happy with the Wireworld silver HDMI cables I was using for the last few years, didnt see any reason to change, at the time I put a lot of effort into getting the "best sounding" one without spending daft money.

Got new TV recently and took the opportunity to change out all my HDMI cables, to THESE:

Unusually for an HDMI cable, they are solid core construction, so quite stiff and thick. (oo-er)
Fantastic cables, bettered the Belkin 4K ones I was using before on all my gear.

Being solid core and really well constructed, I wondered how they would work as i2s audio cables?
Well,
I bought a short length one as a test, and its been running in on my CD Transport last few weeks.
Listening to CDs today and they are sounding noticably better than with using the £350 silver Wireworld HDMI cable I had in before.

And its £13 from Amazon. :eek:

Best Video HDMI cable I've tried too, really brings out the picture quality of the new telly.
Strong STRONG reccomendation for this as an i2s cable if you need one.

Normally I make up my own cables: for S/PDIF I use 75Ohm triaxial cable with either true coaxial plugs or 75Ohm BNC plugs. However at only £13, I will try out the HDMI cables as I certainly wouldn't be able to make one.

Just bought one of these cables Gary and I am very impressed. Both the picture and sound quality is improved especially on Dolby Atmos.
There is a little setting tips leaflet included that is useful, changing the Picture Mode to Game is not something I would have thought to try but it certainly made an improvement.
My 12 year old LG OLED has a new lease of life! Keep up the good work finding us bargains!

Yep, we had a lot of fun then and spent very little. I am still using the same Squeezebox Touch. Tried an Eversolo media server and it was no better so it went back.
