Kenwood KD750 turntable.
I would describe the Kenwood as being in great condition. The lid is not broken, and no scratches anywhere.
It sounds fantastic and the only reason I stopped using it was that I went down the SP10 route around 5 years ago. The Kenwood easily outperformed the Roksan Xerxes I also used.
The tone arm has been rewired at audio origami by the previous owner.
The tonearm is secured by a collet collar thread which makes vertical adjustment a doddle.
In my ownership it’s had very light use. It developed a speed issue, and was taken to Chris of PR Audio Leigh.
He stripped the deck right down and did a complete re-cap at a cost of £400 at the time, but came back flawless and rock solid. I have a full component list of the purchased replacements.
Also included is a lightly used Audio Technica AT OC5, which is an outstanding mc cartridge.
The original rubber mat is available, but I will also include the Funk Achromat, which raises the performance yet another level.
The engineering of the deck and tonearm is outstanding and you can find much info on line. Given the work done to it, I would be quite confident of many more years use out of it.
Looking for £750, collection from Nantwich South Cheshire where it could be demoed. I could also deliver within a reasonable drive.
