FS: JVC A-X3 Amplifier

One of my second system rotation amps, but I've decided to whittle down the collection so am putting this up for sale.

It sounds very nice and has some top quality components, Alps potentiometer and tone/balance controls, Elna capacitors, big transformer etc. I use it with Monitor Audio Studio 20SEs which were What Hi-fi's reference speakers (very transparent and perfect for testing components) and it doesn't embarrass itself at all.

My favourite feature is the variable loudness control which I'd only seen on Yamaha amps before. I actually prefer having this to the graphic equaliser on the model up, as that only has a fixed loudness button. It's handy not just for different (lower) volume levels but also flat sounding recordings. (Flat earthers need not apply!)

I cleaned all pots, switches and sockets with Servisol so it doesn't have any of the usual crackle.

I'm looking for £95 collected from N London although it can be collected from the Durham area this week only.

If it doesn't sell quick I'd consider posting at buyer's cost and risk although I don't have an obvious box as yet.

Fair enough Steve having seen her in the car when you picked the Monitor Audios up I can understand your point. I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of her either.

Anyway, free bump - the speakers he sold me last year are just great, and Lawrence is a proper gent :) Buy with confidence.
