I've been asked to put these up by Colin Topps' wife, Lynn. As regulars will know, Colin passed away late last year and is much missed by those of us that used to meet up with him on a regular basis to hear his new creations. I know many here will have heard his Edingdale speakers so will be able to attest to the quality of Colin's work.

These are a pair of MLTL's using a coaxial Monacor driver of excellent quality. In fact, I liked them enough to have Colin build me a pair with the smaller 10" driver a few years ago. There is a thread here detailing that build and also the build of these 12" up for sale-

There is one issue with these- one of the speakers has a little water staining on the top, but other than that they are in excellent condition and had little use since they were built, as Colin was always moving on to the next creation. Pic here-

As can be seen the damage is minor and easily sanded down and re-varnished. With this in mind, Lynn would like £600 for these, which is a bit of a bargain as the cheapest I can find a pair of the drivers alone is 430 Euros, and you would of course have delivery and customs charges on top of that.

If anyone is interested in these and would like to hear them, drop me a PM and arrangements will be made.

These are great sounding speakers with high sensitivity and an easy load. Some more detail here-

How about £400? That's less than the cost of the drivers. BTW, the cones are not damaged, that's just how they look!

I'd like to give them a try but unfortunately the damage to the top has put me off.

A rub down and some tung oil would sort it.

These are seriously good speakers and an absolute bargain at the asking price. Don’t be put off by the mark on the top, very easily put right with very little effort.

Colin produced some excellent speakers, my original Edingdales won’t be going anywhere soon, in fact they are the longest serving component in my system, 14 years this week and I’m still enjoying them.

Colin Topps' Eddingdales were terrific in my system, only sold em because I had a chance to buy my grail speakers the Impulse H2s.
They were different, not neccesarrily better, and in hindsight my Eddingdales are those hifi purchases I wished I never let go.

Knew from talking with Colin his next speakers were a development from what he learned with the Eddingdales.
RIP Toppsy.

In other news,
Nigel its good to see you on here Sir.
