I'm posting these up for sale on behalf of John (Johnsteer) who is a long-term member of this parish- for some reason he's unable to post due to forum software issues. He's able to PM so he'll contact any interested parties that way, or just PM me and I can pass along his email.
Up for sale is a pair of Marshall Choong CM-3, John has owned these from new and they are in first class condition. The only reason he's selling these is to fund the purchase of a pair from further up the range. They are in a cherry veneer, and come with matching stands. Dimensions are 600 x 300 x 350. John is looking for £2000.
I've heard these when I visited John and they are a great sounding speaker.

Hi Anthony
The specs were on his website but have now been taken down. All i know is there efficiency is 86 dB and they require an amp ranging from 100 to 200 output. It all depends i suppose what kind of valves you are using.
There's some measurements here
https://paperzz.com/doc/9373030/cm-3-and-cm-4---marshall-choong
Hard to predict exactly but looking at the impedance curve I'd expect a quality push-pull valve amp to be working acceptably with these speakers.
I don't see any need for 100 watts minimum, not unless the room is massive or you want very high levels. 86dB is not low sensitivity.

I would have loved to have had a demo of these but I recently bought some big Tannoys so I now have 2 pairs of very big speakers in the reception room [emoji51]
