Hi all am fairly new to the tube rolling game as I like to just plug things in & listen anway I have a Tron Seven GT spec linestage & decided to replace the 5687 tubes in the output stages from Sylvania 5687 to Sylvania GB5687 & it was a noticeable & worthwhile change.

I have decided to change these further with a very rare matched pair of NOS Thomson CSF WA5687 open black plates tubes & would ask is there anything else I should consider ie voltages etc in changing the tubes or will the Thomson 5687 tube just replace the current Sylvania GB5687 tubes

thanks for any advice

I have a pair of Thompson PTT213P valves.

Absolutely gorgeous looking things given to me free by a French tube seller who sold me a pair of Visseaux TMBF1 triodes.

Must look them up spec wise and see what could be done with them.

Crying shame to leave them unused.

Alan, any ideas? If you're down this way again in the next few months I have some work for you. Ask me first, though, cos I might have sorted it beforehand.

Soz for out of focus pic. Might take a few in daylight.

Gorgeous. For something that isn't really inherently gorgeous that is. Like preamp valves, LOL.
