Hello, I'm enjoying my Radford STA25 mk.4 with Tannoy Kensingtons. Currently I use reissue Mullard EL34, which produce nice sound.
I ask you for recommendation for new production of EL34/ KT77 valves which sound good and are reliable, long lasting.
Unfortunately NOS are too expensive.
Thanks.

My favourite is Shuguang EL34, I use them in my WAD KEL34 and have heard them in Ming Da Piccolo as well. A lovely clean sound, transparent with low noise floor at a good price point.

Had a pp amp with Shuguang cryo’d EL34’s, they sounded better than a set of RFT I had.

6P3SE will do everything you want and are very rugged.

Thanks for suggestions for EL34. Has anybody tried variant of EL34, model KT77? Most popular are Gold Lion KT77 and JJ KT77.
Any experience with them?

Yes, had the Gold Lion KT77's, nice valve. Maybe a little airier at the top, 34 had a meatier bass to my ears.

Can't comment on output valves specifically for the STA25, but the valves I use in my Radford STA15/III are NOS Mullard (Blackburn Road) EL34s.

Doesn't really get any better than those Barry.

Hello, has anybody good suggestion about current EL34 tubes? What about Tung-Sol EL34B?
