I'm moving on my Quad 240, for those that aren't aware the 240 is basically a 306 with a beefier power supply in a more substantial case.
these were built for Pro/Studio use, even has mechanical damping pads on the case.
they sound like the 306 but subtly improved, a little more solid, with blacker blacks if that makes sense.
still lovely and neutral in that beautiful Quad way.

built to last an eternity, self calibrating, low stressed parts, easy to service, i'm happy to include a print out of the manual, which comes with specs, schematics etc.
these amps will still be running in 3024!

the one I have for sale is very lightly used, totally original and perfectly working.
I believe it may have been a spare, as there is no heat marks on the PCB etc.

there are a couple of very light scratches on top, these are barely noticeable in reality, but seem very obvious in the photos! I think the camera is highlighting them.

I made up a set of XLR to phono sockets, happy to include these, they cost me around £30 in parts with high quality Neutrik connectors and Van-Damme cable.
Parcel force insured delivery included, or collect Bridgend south wales, could meet up if not too far!
£285 including P+P and Cables.

I corrected the typo in your post

happy to meet halfway if you're not too far away...
this is a really nice example, when I bought it, I thought I'd need to service it and replace some parts, but it's so clean and original I haven't touched it.
it's been working fantastically in my study for a year or two, but I'm now using a Technics 9060 as I have the matching preamp and tuner.
in truth I think the Quad is the better amp, but I'm loving the look of the technics stack at the moment..
just need to find the mega rare meter unit and equaliser as in the picture below.

What are the output connecters on this amp?

They are speakons,
I can include a pair of neutrik connectors or make up a set of adaptors to 4mm sockets.
Or if someone really wants.. change them to the XLR's as some early amps had, though personally I think XLR as a speaker connector is a poor choice!

Will include input and output adaptors and postage for asking price.
Or will include suitable interconnect and/or speaker cables made to measure, if you cover the cost of the additional cable.
I have van Damme reels so not expensive!

Is this still here?

Someone should snap it up as not only is it a bit of a bargain but it is also extremely rare.

The 240 was a commission for Quad by the BBC. The BBC wanted an amplifier to use in their outside broadcast vans, ostensibly to drive their LS3/5 speakers. The 240 is based on the 306, but with a 'beefier' power supply and put into a case suitable for rack mounting. Because of these specific requirements only 180 were made, making it one of the rarerest of Quad designs. All Quad electronics are very well designed, are very reliable and sound good (which is why the BBC used them when they were still a British company).

We're it not for the fact that I already have 10 other Quad power amps in my collection I would have snapped this up.
