Just jumped into Naim for the 1st time after picking up a Nap 90 series three. Looks so much nicer in real life than in the pictures!

My Source is a Wiim Ultra and my speakers are Neat Iota. I’m trying the NAP in place of a Bel Canto Class D that has worked flawlessly with the Wiim.

Music plays but there is a loud hum. There is a banana plug that plugs into the back of the Wiim for a ground if you are using a Turntable. I tried connecting this to the Earth of a power cable and plugging into the mains but it doesn’t make any difference.

Anyone got any ideas? Totally new to the world of Naim.

I have a Wiim Ultra which performs faultlessy into a Creek Destiny integrated. I'm presuming you have a phono to DIN lead to plug into your Naim and your using the Wiim as your pre amp. Before I bought the Creek I was using the Wiim's pre out into a power amp and this too worked without problems. I have no experience of your st up but my first suspect would be the connecting cable. Does the hum occur on all inputs to the Wiim eg streaming and local storage?
