A few more nice records for sale, all originals, no modern reissues here :cool:
Details as follows and photographs below. All records have been RCM cleaned and test played throughout.
1. Wishbone Ash, “Argus”, FIRST UK 1972 -2L/-2L Pressing on ORIGINAL Blue/Black Hexagon MCA label. Excellent condition, moderately played, a few light hairlines and spindle marks on label, nothing significant. Plays SUPERBLY throughout, what a fantastic record, sounds so much better than digital versions to my ears. Robert Stace gatefold sleeve in excellent overall condition, just the usual moderate age-related shelf wear. £40.
2. Thin Lizzy, “Jailbreak”. Early UK A//1, B//1 pressing. Ex+/Near Mint barely played condition, a lovely copy. Howards Printers Die-Cut Gatefold sleeve in excellent condition, just some slight creasing towards spine which was there from new from memory. £30.
3. Thin Lizzy, “Fighting”. FIRST UK 1Y//5, 2Y//4 pressing. Near Mint possibly unplayed condition prior to my test play. Robert Stace laminated sleeve in SUPERB condition. Looks like it’s fresh out of the original shop this one. £30.
4. Leonard Cohen, “Various Positions”. FIRST UK A1/B1 pressing. Near Mint barely played condition. Shorewood Packaging sleeve in excellent condition. £25.
5. Elton John, “Honky Chateau”. FIRST UK A2/B2 pressing, “Rasputin” & “Bobil” etched in dead wax. Rarer first pressing with excellent condition Garrod & Lofthouse “envelope” fastening, textured gatefold sleeve with pasted on cover photo. Near Mint condition, looks barely played. Test played superbly. Translucent red/purple vinyl when held up to strong light, a characteristic of these early Pye pressings. £35.
There are a few reflections on the vinyl in the photographs I noticed, these are light reflections, not marks. Also I took the photos on a dull day so quality is not up to my usual standard.
