Hello

Just bought this as second arm for my recent addition a NOS audiomeca Romance turntable.

As you can see, the nylon thread is missing. Can anyone help me with the nylon thread length and its two fixing points?

If possible, I would also like to know the Silicone viscosity and, which paddle might best suit MCs (newly rebuilt and re-tipped by Chris of Allclearaudio, Australia), for best compliance with an Audio Technica AT1100 tonearm.

Thanks, indeed!

Cheers!

Hi, the thread is just fishing line, if you look on my web blog, you can see where it is attached, around the right side of the column and over the rod that the weight slides on to. just tie a loop in both ends. A bit of experimenting with the travel of the arm will tell you when you have the length right.
As for the Silicon damping oil, you could start with the mid sized paddle and 30,000 cST oil.
It's very much a suck it and see situation, size of paddle, viscosity of the oil and depth in the trough all contribute.
It depends largely on the compliance of your cartridge, there is a table on my blog which you can reference.
I suggest you read what I have put together here: https://www.jkwynn.co.uk/774/774_01.html

I would still check out my Blog, where I have compiled a lot of information about the 774 Arm.
