A few very nice records for sale, Zappa, Floyd, Heart, Skynyrd, Wings

A few rather nice records for sale, all originals, no modern reissues here :lol:

Details as follows and photographs below. All records have been RCM cleaned and test played throughout.

1. Frank Zappa, “Hot Rats”, early UK A1/B1 pressing in barely played Near Mint condition. MacNeill Press gatefold sleeve excellent. £30.
2. Pink Floyd, “Obscured By Clouds”. Early UK A-4/B-4 pressing in Ex+ barely played condition. For the sake of complete transparency I should say this plays with occasional very minor surface noise in places. Garrod & Lofthouse textured sleeve in excellent condition. £30.
3. Heart, “Dreamboat Annie”. Early, possibly First US pressing. KENDUN stamped and matrix etchings “HEARTLESS” and “IT'S IN THE WAX TO THE MAX”. Near Mint barely, if at all, played condition. Stunning sound, better than the UK pressing to my ears. The band everyone lusted after in the 1970’s and the music’s not half bad either. A pretty essential album. £30.
4. Lynyrd Skynyrd, “Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd. Ex/Ex+ First UK A-1/B-1 pressing. Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve with just some minor shelf-wear. Always amazed at how good this album sounds on vinyl. £25.
5. Paul McCartney & Wings, “Band On The Run”. Near Mint Early (possibly First) US pressing. “MASTERED BY CAPITOL” stamped in dead wax. Sounds better than the UK pressing to my ears. Comes with poster and card inner sleeve unlike the paper UK version. £30.

There are a few reflections on the vinyl in the photographs I noticed, these are light reflections, not marks.

P&P £4.50 for as many as you want. I use proper Music Max mailers and reinforcements and send tracked.

Interesting observation regarding "Obscured By Clouds", according to Discogs anyway. Apparently, the very first A-1/B-1 pressings were cut with too much high end EQ causing them to be quickly withdrawn. The problem was apparently corrected with later pressings like the one I'm selling.

I do have an A-1/B-1, in fact it's my keeper copy as it's well loved and a bit worn. I do think the album sounds quite "bright" but the first pressing still sounds good to me. It may even compliment certain systems.
