Denon DP790 turntable, in a beautiful thick walnut finish (not veneer) with upgraded Denon dynamic damping arm, which is far superior to the stock one that it originally shipped with. Cartridge not included.
It's had a full service as well, including the motor being fully stripped down and reoiled in a vacuum chamber; as the bearings in these are porous Oilite and need to be re-impregnated properly, just placing oil on them wont do and heating the oil only gives about a 50% fill rate, 30+ years they get dry! After that I fitted a new oil wick as well (see pics ). This turntable will give many years of trouble free service.
It comes with high quality japanese 240>100v converter. A transformer, not SMPS!
I bought this two years ago to try to get my wife playing records again, but her Alzheimers means she couldn't remember how to. So it has been used less than ten times, and left packed away.
I sourced the correct lid and hinges for it, but the lid was broken at the back because someone shipped it still attached to a turntable! I have repaired it, functionally, but the back is ugly although the front is good. See pictures. It will be included free, if you want it.
Pickup is preferred, but if you'd like it posted it will be well packed in a very oversize heavy duty cardboard box, well padded, platter and lid removed and tonearm properly secured.
