Michael 45 (in Germany) if looking for 153 Euros about £130 at today’s rates including shipping

Acoustic Sounds in the States - $153 but you might have to pay VAT which is £117 at today’s rates including shipping
All very interesting, not sure VA justify their price.

For the avoidance of doubt , this not to promote a discussion on wither you would ever pay one of these prices but just to advise it certainly pays to shop about if you were thinking of it.

I have bought from Acoustic Sounds in the past and you will pay 20% VAT plus a processing fee (15 quid-ish). The LPs were very well packaged and there were no issues.

The downside is obviously that if you have a problem you will have to deal with returns to the US, but I did also buy a UHQR from a UK seller (not the one you mention) and it took months to get a replacement because they would only get it shipped over with their regular order (and they didn't want to pay for separate shipping), plus they forgot to add it on to at least one monthly order.

So you pay your money and take your chance. You will of course also pay 20% VAT and the processing fee for buying from Michael 45 (thanks Brexitiers) and you still have to get returns to and from Germany.

Within Europe 15,50€ per order. Free shipping when you buy 2 records or more (Scwitzherland, Sweden, Norway or the UK 3 records or more)
Customs duties and taxes charges are NOT included with the shipping cost. As every country has different regulations, either FedEx or your Postal Carrier will request payment for any charges relating to customs duties or taxes.
They also offer to clean and check the record for a few euros before shipping.

As you state returns are always an issue, if you are buying online , although with Amazon its pretty easy but they rarely stock UHQR records.

Prior to Brexit you'd have paid German VAT at 19% so it's a whole 1 percent more now.

Only if you are a) not buying secondhand and b) can find someone who is prepared to do the paperwork to export ex EU VAT

But these are brand new records and if selling through ebay or Amazon there's no paperwork for the seller.

No different from buying from China, Japan, USA which we have all done plenty of times over the years.
