I never thought I’d do this, but I have a decent chance to buy my dream amp and this and my gorgeous PhaSt Phono stage have to go to fund it.
I purchased this from MAX in June 23, it was their demo amp. It’s in absolutely beautiful condition, the little tiny marks on the wooden cheeks are just in the grain of the wood, it really is in superb condition.
I have the full set of Sovtek valves it came with and it is currently loaded with 4 Mullard el84’s and 2 Mullard ecc83’s. It sounds utterly sublime with both, but I prefer the Mullards which take the amp to another level entirely.
I also fitted a Synergistic Research Black fuse.
A rather nice thing is that this is the very amp that was loaned for review in HiFi+ magazine and I’ll include a copy of the mag -adds just a little more to an already high level of pride of ownership.
I have the original box and packaging and little manual.
Current rrp is £4k and I paid £3k just over 14 months ago, so I feel the price is a bit of a bargain, especially in light of the full set of Mullards and the Fancy foo fuse.
£2,200 plus insured delivery at cost. Collection from Lewes E Sussex welcome
