I bought these off ebay very recently and they have a few issues.
I thought i would refurb them, but after hooking them up, i remembered very quickly why i sold my last pair.
far too much bass for my small victorian terrace and my girlfriend is already complaining!
They are overall in very nice condition.
Certainly worth saving.
Veneer is very nice, just a very small bit on the rear top corner that has been damaged.
A wax would have these coming up beautifully imho.
Both speakers need foam donuts replacing.
There is a guy selling them on ebay from the state for £30 posted.
Easy to do.
I did mine years ago and i'm partially sighted.
One speaker appears to be working very well and sounds fine to my ears.
Tbe other speaker has a fizzing midarange driver and a t33 tweeter that i think is defective (low output).
So a new midrange/tweeter assembly needed on one speaker.
These come up from time to time on ebay or cannabilize a rough pair off ebay.
Thsi is my 5th pair of these.
they are wonderful speakers, but just not to be in my victorian slum.
Grilles have all their pegs.
Original boxes and polystyrene packaging.
Collection from eton wick/windsor.
£100.
