John Mayall A Hard Road Vinyl currently £6.97 on Amazon

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but Amazon have this album on vinyl at £6.97 delivered (probably dependent on having Prime) at the moment. I don't know the seller (Speedyhen) and it isn't clear which pressing it is but possibly a 2015 Italian version looking at the pictures. I couldn't resist ordering at this price. I don't suppose it will stay at this price for very long.

Well spotted Sean. I've just ordered myself a copy - not sure if it is my sort of thing, but at less than 7 quid it's worth a go, like the old Monty Python piston engine :)

Gotta love a bargain. Hopefully you will enjoy it but if not I'm sure you would be able to get your £7 back passing it on. If you ever used to listen to the Friday Rock show with Tommy Vance you will probably recognise The Stumble which used to get played in the background for some segments.

Well that is disappointing, although sealed there is a clearly visible scratch at the end of track 5 side 2 which stalls the record in playback. The mailer is hopeless and the cover slightly creased but I would have put up with that for £7 if it played well. I hope you have better luck Steve.

Yes I did, sorry Sean. My record arrived a couple of hours ago, and is in mint condition, as I posted in "Spinning today..." I would give you my copy, but unfortunately I quite like it. Amazon I feel does have a history of patchy quality when it comes to delivered vinyl, but apparently their returns/replacement policy is second to none. So be sure to get it changed Sean, it's definitely worth it.

Steve, I am pleased you like it, I had a horrible feeling there was going to be a defect in the same spot.

As Amazon isn't the seller it appears I have to pay for the return which I didn't appreciate but I think the postage should be refunded when they receive it. I will see how the returns process goes before re-ordering from them.

I ordered a copy as well, which arrived today, agree the mailer isn't up to much and sleeve arrived mint, but there are marks on vinyl side one tracks 2 &3 - seems to play ok though so they must just be surface. Mine is a 2015 Italian reissue.

Just a quick update, I complained regarding about having to pay for return postage given the defect and after sending photos of the small divot in the vinyl and the packaging (which was creased) they refunded the money and said I can dispose of the record. They said they will claim from Royal Mail for the damage although I very much doubt it was caused by the rough handling. Anyway I reordered and got a good copy today, not the flattest record I have but otherwise good. I would agree with others on here that the sound quality is very good. A real bargain at £7.
