I've recently had my Roksan k3 power amp repaired under warranty by Roksan,I was told a transformer needed replacing. What could be the cause of this? Ta James

Faulty batch or batch not testing up to scratch?

Hello Alan, I have no knowledge of such things, are failures like this relatively common in modern amps?

I would say not, mains transformer design is pretty stringent, that is assuming it was the mains transformer.

In the decades I've been selling Hi-Fi, I have never had a faulty x'mer. However, nothing is perfect, the important thing is that they fix it with no inconvenience to you.

Hi Dave, got the amp back and the Technician Form says they replaced the Stand-By Transformer? And yes I cant fault their customer service, very helpful and very quick to respond to emails:)
