£100. Anything as long as it is Black, spins a disc and has a remote.

Look for a pioneer stable platter at that price. Makes a superb transport if you want to use a dac later on.

I've got a Technics SL-PS670A sat in the cupboard doing nothing. I don't think they're worth a lot - probably about £40. If that's of any interest, let me know and I'll drag it out and see if it still works. Excellent condition with remote.

You'd need to collect from Bicester.

Hi Geoff, thanks for looking but I need a coaxial output and I think this CD only comes with optical output?

nowt wrong with optical - unless you already using that for something else.

Never really used optical much.

Correct - it's optical only. I think some DACs used to have a restricted bandwidth on optical but that's not the case these days and it's certainly more than enough for CD.

Any models you can recommend?Pioneer PS-S703 or similar. Just make sure it has the coax out, some had only optical and the bottom of the range no digital out at all.

Less chance for electrical noise to get on the line as well, especially if implemented right.
That said, I've always preferred coax.
