Some good pics here.

Always wanted to go to one of these Yank shows. They always seem to have lots of large rooms with the big banger speakers that I like, whereas with ours there's just a couple of spaces like that and the rest are crammed into those tiny rooms.

Never been any on the times I've been over there though.

As usual a lot of over the top turntables, and horn loudspeakers that look positively lavatorial.

But amongst the absurd there were some systems and equipment that don't require you to be a billionaire to afford them.

That said, I would have loved to have heard the $4,000,000 system, just to make sure it really was 100 times better than a $40,000 system!

Thanks for sharing. :)

I don't know which one was the $4 million system? They all looked a bit spendy to me.

It was mentioned in passing, there wasn't a photo of the system.

Krell still looks like Krell. 75 thousand USD.

'Hello my good man, I'd like a pair of your biggest amplifiers please....no, those are too big.

This is the $4M system. Made in China by a company called ESD. I think I saw one of those on the cover of Pink Floyd's Relics album.

It gets a lot of indifferent reviews from attendees. Apparently the larger horns are made of plastic, but they have $1,000,000 worth of lacquered finish on them - so that's alright then.

'Super Dragon' - it's a good name, anyway.

"Lacquer lovingly applied with finely crafted brushes using carefully selected pubic hair from Nepalese virgins". Probably. I'd go for the $3,000,050 Hammerite option, proper bargain that :)
