View Full Version : Any love for Air Tight Amps
Hello All
Just wondering if there are any lovers/users of Air Tight Amplifiers on here.
They seem pretty rare in the UK and so are reviews
If anyone has any experience of them I would really appreciate your opinions.
TIA
Shaun
I think DarrenW across on PFM had one, I seem to remember hearing it once, it struck me as expensive and extremely well constructed, it had an unmistakable quality about it, I can't for the life of me remember what it sounded like though. Bourney on here may remember it better than me as he lived fairly close to Darren and may have heard it too.

ShaunHi.
Here's my review of the Air Tight ATM-1. Might be of interest for you.

I had an Air Tight ATM-2 for a few years.
Very well made amp.
Sounded glorious with Tesla KT88s, now made for way more money by EAT.
I got mine off a seemingly really dodgy dude at an extremely low price of $2200 from a USA auction. Huge bargain.
But ultimately I have a pair of huge 211 monos that easily beat the Air Tight. Not because the Air Tight is bad. But because two 45KG odd monoblocks running 211s is just gonna be better.
Their top of the range 3211 monos are excellent. If you bought Bitcoin when it first came out, that is.
Didn't absorb the date on the OP.
What a dork:)

It was this year so fine, it's the random replies to 10 year old posts that are funny.

I wonder what the record is for the most 'late to the party' post?

Nothing wrong with reviving an old thread, unless it's someone replying to a thread where the o/p is asking for advice or is looking for a particular bit of kit, those are quite funny.
It's from ten years ago mate, I suspect he's sorted by now.

But if he'd put away a faulty amp or a speaker with a broken tweeter and it gets sorted from a reply 10 years later that would be a very happy ending.
