Are you looking for a pair of speakers, or some parts of the Quad 57s? It's not clear what you mean by "widgets".

They are a device designed to make the ESL an easier load.

Never heard of them - who makes them?

Just done a bit of research - they are made by One Thing Audio.

Good luck with your search; there seem to be plenty for sale on the Web.

Sorry realise it you have not owned ESL 57 then you may not be aware of these items which smooth out the treble cross over impedance dip that can upset some solid state amplifiers .

It seems to contain some capacitors and 2 x 3-3Ohm resistors. Given the simplicity of the circuit you could make one to test for peanuts and if not how you like it alter the resistor value and/or caps values at will.

EDIT Looks like the One-Thing boards on ebay (from One-Thing) have 0.39 resistors on them, but check the resistor banding colours in case I am wrong.

I find it hard to see how an RC network placed at the input to the coupling transformer of the ESL 57 would not affect and alter the frequency response.

Looking at it that it is the ESL 63 circuit which has all the details . ESL57 has no details on at all .

Yes, I see what you mean. If you are minded it would not be too difficult to try a few different combinations of caps and resistors if you have that sort of thing. I have done a lot of DIY stuff and have that sort of thing, but not everyone does. The alternative is to get the ready made boards.

The equivalent circuit for the Quad 57 ESL is readily available on the Web. However what you want is the circuit diagram for the 'widgets'.

Think I may have sorted a used pair for a sensible price . I prefer to find and recycle already made equipment if possible as we are all guilty of having drawers and boxes stuffed with items we no longer use .

Well done! Let us know how you get on with them - do they improve the sound of your ESL 57s?

BTW, do your Quads have OTA panel replacement?

Yep, guilty!

Well thought I had found a set but it would appear not now . So back up and still looking .
