Is anyone old enough to remember (and have spare!) a set of these? Or the more normal looking ID2 (Leak 3000) versions?
Expect that the cushion will have deteriorated, but as long as they work......
The ID1 looks like this.
PM me if you suddenly remember the cellar/garage etc box?

Ears still waiting.......! search those loft boxes!Mmmmm. What's the interest? I think I've got a couple of pairs, but as you say, the foam surrounds are stuffed. I tried one pair recently, but it seemed that they need to be driven by the loudspeaker output of my amps - as the headphone socket didn't provide enough power. Perhaps that's normal with headphones like this. They used to work well enough with a Goodmans 90 integrated tuner/amp, but maybe headphone sockets now are not what they used to be.

Sticking foam on with parcel tape is hardly conducive to good sound either! Not sure how easy they would be to fix satisfactorily.

In the past I thought they were very good. I'm not sure whether I'm ready to part with them yet, but if I get to the point of throwing them away I'll certainly note your interest. I'd need to get something with a bit of oomph to drive them, and then compare them with the headphones I currently use. As I recall, both sets need some attention - the foam bits, and possibly some rewiring of the jacks.

If you are feeling flush try some audeze LCD 2's or Hifiman 6 and you can hear how far orthodynamic technology has come since the 70's. They are claimed to rival Stax electrostatics

Still looking.....for the originals!

Was tempted by Audez'e as a friend is off to Las Vegas (to see Len Cohen!) today, and Audez'e are based there.
But there's a waiting list.....

Still hoping for someone's Grandad to have the Isos!

That friend is now here visiting!
Isn't anyone visiting an elderly relative with unused funny white earpieced Phones that say "Isodynamic" on them.....?
It's the season of hope!
