Smaller brother to the Tresham SR 402, the SR 202 is a carbon copy with less power. Size of the 202 is suitable for home use, and has the reputation of sounding sweeter and less of a "slave amp" than the 402. The SR/DR series of amplifiers heritage began with the design*genius of a famous electronics engineer, Barry Porter, honed by the ears of an amazing technical director, Mark Westley. There was a third person involved in the company that later formed another company called NVA (after Tresham was sold to Tannoy) selling through eBay, but he had no technical/electronics merit in Tresham. Limited numbers of these are rare
The amp has been in use for the last 5 months solid...no overheating and no background noise. On deciding to sell this one, I've had it serviced and setup by the original technical director. The amp is in Exeter, and will be sent from there. If you are local, you are more than welcome to listen and collect. UK buyers only.
The Tresham SR series are solid built and have features way ahead of their time. The SR202 can drive most speakers, due to bags of current able to control the bass units...
