Just testing the water to see if anyone has an un-used or un-wanted one of these that they'd like to see go to a good home ?
I wasn't aware of them until recently and as with most other gear in my system, you can't just buy them off the shelf anymore.
Here's hoping somebody has one or knows where there is one .......

Just a thought, but is it worth clarifying exactly what this is?
I haven't got a clue and I might not be the only one!

A quick image search suggests a set of portable steps to get on a horse.

Ah, in which case my neighbour might have a spare set.

It's a clamp designed by Tom Fletcher which enables a secure fitting of Decca cartridges to any arm. You may recall that Decca cartridges came with a flimsy plastic bracket which wobbled about.

It was a headshell 'clamp' for the Decca Mk. V and Mk. VI cartridges.
It was extensively used in the development of the Zeta tonearm, and might have been made by them.
Oops - near identical replies.
I used one with my metal bodied Decca's for a while. Changed to Deccapod. For some reason JW wasn't a fan of the GB mounts, I think he thought they might distort the body. Nicely made though, like all the GB offerings.
Yes, I have used them with both Decca Blue and Decca Gold cartridges. Still use one with a Decca Gold (Mk. VI).
There was always a risk of over tightening the clamp and distorting the thin 'biscuit tin' enclosure of the Mk. V and Mk. VI Deccas - all that was needed was for the clamp to lightly 'nip' the housing; no more, in fact the cartridge should be able to slide fore and aft in the block if sufficient pressure is applied.

Thanks Folks for explaining what I had eluded to and apologies I am late in the day getting back to you all on the matter.
Barry, as you may have guessed - it was your reply to my earlier post that brought these to my attention. As Dave rightly states the flimsy plastic bracket ensures my 'Blue' wobbles about like a proverbial loose tooth !
I have a few options/alternatives to investigate and wanted to start with the GB block as they look quite robust.

As an aside, have any Decca owners used the new London Decca repair/servicing team (as trained up by JW apparently?). I had all mine serviced prior to Johns retirement but would like to know if the same (great) service is still available in the future.
