For sale my Quad Vena ii Play bought brand new from Doug Brady HiFi in December 2023 so just over a month old and in as new condition.

In many ways it is an excellent amplifier/DAC/streamer, plenty of power and a surprisingly good phono stage in a compact enclosure.
I have been totally happy with the sound quality of this amp whether through streaming or playing vinyl but I miss the superior (in my opirion) interface of the Auralic Lightning DS which I have been used to. There's nothing wrong with the Vena's Play-Fi interface but I find it a little less intuitive and feature rich when compared to the Lighning DS
Possibly a rather shallow reason for selling but I've had the chance to buy an Auralic Polaris at a lot more money but recent sales means I have a clear conscience :)

Would consider a part x for a decent phono stage.

Easily good enough for your main system including your turntable but could make a super compact second system, just add speakers.:)

Had a Vena 2 but without the play bit. Was a nice little amp

I must admit I'm surprised this has not attracted any interest. *This is a virtually new amplifier with a very good phono stage in a compact and subtly attractive case. *Then it has the bonus of a built in DAC streamer which sounds very good indeed. *I tend to stream for background music or when I want to check out new artists/new releases which may or may not result in a vinyl purchase.

It cost me £764 new and has been used for less than a month.

I guess a potential buyer would be interested to know if the warranty is transferable as that would have significant value in itself.

Good point Lawrence. I've just checked and the warranty is not transferrable. Given you need a receipt from an authorised dealer I can't even pass on the amp and let the new buyer register it. What I can do is register it myself which gives me 3 years warranty and agree with any potential buyer that should repair under warranty be required I would take it back and sort out the repairs with Quad.

In that case it would seem to be a bargain for anyone thinking about buying a new one. I was looking myself a couple of years ago but sadly the small lounge system idea got dropped in favour of a Bluetooth speaker the kids can play YouTube on when I'm not playing the main system.

It is a bargain Lawrence, thanks. Even more of a bargain now - make me an offer. This really is a very good, very flexible amp.
