After much deliberation I've decided to sell my Goldring 88.
I'm enjoying my highly modified Rega turntable and prefer its more modern looks but obviously many of you will prefer the classic looks of the 88. *Besides, I've still got a G99 and an L70 if (when) I get the urge to go retro again.

Some details:
The turntable was in a bit of a state when I first bought it so the restoration began with a professional powder coating to the nearest pantone colour of the original
I also had some new decals made to replace the worn one.
A metal idler wheel has been fitted
Motor and bearing have been serviced and the deck has been rewired. *The deck runs very quietly with stable speed. *Please note, it doesn't play 16rpm records as when repairing the speed adjustment plate I didn't drill the hole in quite the right place! *
Mat is original and in good condition. *The RDC record weight is not included.
The plinth cost me £175 - it's beautifully made by Ultramagnus 404. It has been treated with Osmo Oil and comes with a spare tonearm board for SME 3009
The (bought here) is an Audio Technica AT1005 Mk 2 which also cost me £175. It's in lovely cosmetic condition with smooth bearings. I've fitted a brand new Audioquest Wildcat cable to it costing £79
Cartridge is an Audio Technica AC-F5/OCC, age unknown but plays well. Consider this a freebie.

AT1005 Mk2 This isn't the headshell that came with the arm, this one has nice soft leads but I will include the original as well

Feet - made by Vic at Transfi and height adjustable

Lid - this is off a Luxman but fits nicely. *If you want it I'll take the hinges off the Luxman and include them too

So with all the costs of restoration plus the plinth and tonearm I'm afraid the price is £700 or nearest offer.
It really is too heavy to post so it's collection only or we can discuss a meet up.
