Alas, I can’t make these work for me as much as I’d love them to do so I’ve decided to let them go.

I bought them as a hopeful replacements for my Davone Rays and recouping some cash but despite them being very good, they really aren’t at the level of the Davones (no surprise really as they’re about an eighth of the cost!) and have just emphasised to me at the moment I’m not ready to let the Rays go.

The original sale thread is below for reference if you want to read more about them etc.

I’ve treated the cabinets to some restore-a-finish and orange oil which has bought them up lovely however they’re are still marks consummate with age as can be seen in the photos.

Asking £395 (including the spare tweeters) collected from me in Cambridgeshire which is what I paid for them or I can
transport them as far as Northampton where I work.

An awful lot of speaker for the money as everyone who has heard them testifies.

I heard these at the WAM show last year and thought they sounded great. Looked good too. The hotel room was rather small, but the SD1s were perfectly happy there. Unlike some of the speakers at the show, helped no doubt by being sealed enclosures.

Something of a bargain methinks, GLWS.

I thought these sounded pretty good at the Wam show too. But then they were my speakers so I would say that [emoji23]

In all seriousness these are very good sounding speakers, you can't beat large cabinets and wide baffles whatever the fashion for tall narrow floorstanders was about.

Very rare too possibly the only pair made.
