Record Player Restoraration on The Repair Shop

On the christmas edition of the repair shop, Mark Stuckey did the restoration.
Mark managed to get the player working, but when the player was switched on, the platter went up hill and down dale. He still put a record on it.
I did think that the tonearm would be jumping about but it didn’t.

Yes, if it's the one I watched it was one of those nasty cheapo things made from around the later nineties to cash in on the 'vinyl revival'. Still, it was good he got it working, as it obviously had big sentimental value.

I think the unit had a CD player, cassette player on the side and AM/FM radio as well as the record player. Sad story as the ladies son has bought it for her just before he passed away from cancer. It brought a tear to my eye.
