£150 for a 504 with smashed glass is silly money. I have a 104 and 504. Both great tuners and in regular use. Be patient you will get better than the above ebay listing

I’ve been on hitchhikers quite a while and I think the going rate for a very good 504 is closer to well upwards of £300. And cracked glass doesn’t impair the performance; if shoved in a rack, probably invisible. I’d be more worried about performance, the quality of the LEDs and the presence of lettering on the front.

FWIW, I waited ages for my utterly mint one, to round off my 500 series collection, and it cost me almost £400 collected last year.

Amongst my other 'old' tuners I have a 504 purchased s/hand, and a Kremlin (purchased new), currently the Kremlin is inoperative and the 504 is working perfectly.

I've purchased other kit from 'Retrotech' in the past (Leak Stereofetic, Quad 303, 405, Rotel 965BX Discrete) and always found them straightforward to deal with.
