The X1 B boasts an oversized, heavyweight MDF structure that provides a sturdy foundation for the turntable. Inside, a sophisticated DC/AC generator board and a convenient speed control board ensure clean and stable power delivery to the whisper-quiet motor. The motor's performance is further enhanced by a new motor suspension system, which isolates it from the main plinth.
The motor drives a purpose-built, non-resonant Acryl platter through a sub-platter drive system and a premium-grade main bearing, guaranteeing a seamless and smooth rotation. The X1 B features a super-stiff Carbon/Alu sandwich construction tonearm, inspired by the superior The Classic turntable. This tonearm is both lightweight and rigid, offering improved resistance to external interference. It comes as a one-piece design without a resonance-inducing headshell and can be finely adjusted for azimuth and VTA settings. Additionally, it comes with a TPE-damped counterweight to reduce cartridge and tonearm resonances.

It comes equipped with a brand-new Pro-Ject Pick-IT S2 MM cartridge, developed by Ortofon and fine-tuned by Pro-Ject's design team.
