FS: KEF Reference 103

After every thing I’ve said to myself about not letting these super 103’s go, I have to concede that they are now up for sale. I brought in a pair KEF Reference 104.2 and sadly can’t justify having more than one set of speakers in the house. Now, I’ve had these for over six years. Bought from Chris (hughandella - not sure he is on AoS nowadays). Here is the original ad:

Very well regarded KEF speakers. For me they have been rock solid performers. As referenced in the original ad Chris thinks they were recapped. I can’t verify this but there is nothing to suggest they need recapping. In the six years I have had them I haven’t changed anything, including putting the wadding back inside the cabinets. The wadding will come with them so can put back in if desired. Overall the cosmetic condition is I would say very good. There are two dinks to the edges at the rear of one which would probably be a simple repair for someone with the skills. These existed when bought them from Chris. This one has some staining on top which no doubt could polished out. I have had them placed them on the Partington LS stands. These can come included in the sale if required, or will sell separately. I’d like £325 with stands and £275 without. Can deliver in Sussex/Kent for the cost of petrol and can give a demo here.

Some interest in these but no firm offers. I'm going to withdraw them from sale at the moment. Would be a pity to let them go for silly money being the cracking speakers they are.

It gives the metric units as centimetres on the KEF site but that is clearly wrong.

Thanks Martin … sadly they are too big for the space I’ve got for them in a secondary system as vertical height is max 300mm pity as from what I’ve read they would of been a good listening experience
