Just an interest check here.
My lovely Raysonic CD128 may be going up for grabs. I'ts absolutly lovely sounding with a set of recently fitted NOS (fully matched) military Mullard E88CC Gold pin Valves (which cost me a fortune). Not many of these left in the world that have never been used and are nicely matched. (I have the recept)
The original Harmonix valves are also included but the Mullards sound sublime in comparason. Selling due to moving house and I need a smaller unit.
The CD128 is only 18 months old, in imaculate condition, boxed with packaging, manual and remote. The remote has a couple of scratches done by a glass shelf, just the other day. Nothing to worry about and hardly noticable.
Has truly balanced XLR as well as unbalanced RCA outputs.
Coaxial digital out.
HDCD conversion is done by a Burr Brown PCM 1732 in red book (44k) or can be switched to upsampling 96k
The laser pickup is a Sony KSS-213Q
Made fully from Alloy, even the remote
One of the best naturally sounding cd players I've ever heard. An amazing soundstage with a superb balance of all frequencies and a lovely fast dynamics. The valve output stage with decent valves fitted gives it that lovely unique valve sound. I was so amazed with the 10 second valve rolling upgrade it was even worth telling Raysonic to re-think their stock valves of which still sounded great but no where near like the Mullards.
