Been lurking for a little while but just put a post in the classifieds and got told off for not introducing myself properly ;-)

I'm from Norwich, listen to a wide range of music from jazz to techno and have a thing for big horns and valve amps. Recently got a turntable so am getting into that and have been having a play with hi-res formats and music servers. So a bit torn between which direction to go.

I am well known over on HiFiWigwam...

Hi Simon,

Thanks for that and welcome to AOS :) Told off? Lol! No, just gently 'prodded' ;)

So what's your current system?

Good luck with the sale of your valves. I may have some questions for you in that respect.

Marco.

Hi Simon, how's the Fine City doing - spent most of my life there, but moved to Ipswich (YES, IPSWICH!) 6 years ago - the love of a good woman... I'd love to move back one day, though my folks are still there so get to go back quite regularly.

Anyway, back to hifi and the forum - welcome to AoS, and good luck with your sale (not much use to me I'm afraid). I'm not going to get myself in trouble by giving you my opinion on vinyl vs. digital - except to sit on the fence - why not do both?

Enjoy your stay.

Hi Simon and welcome, i know what you mean about which way to go, i have so many programs i don't understand to try and copy music with, pissed off with being a techno numpty and hard to follow tutorials, (will someone PLEASE come round my house and set up my laptop) i think i will go with vinal that i can understand and feel at home with, either that or i will buy a sqeezebox touch or something
