I've got three fans and a small air cooler. Not needed them yet, hope I don't!
I've got three fans and a small air cooler. Not needed them yet, hope I don't!This was a biggish air cooler. Never had one before. Hard to say how much benefit I'll get but I guess if it's a few degrees c then it'll be worth it if it gets hotter again.

We got one almost identical to that last year. When we had that stupid 36C heatwave. More basic model, with no remote. It was ok. The ice packs didn't make much of a difference, and were a bit of a faff. But, a bit better than bare air :)

If it gets to 36C this year I will be camping in the garden.:)

That is not a bad idea! I just need to borrow a tent :)

Just hang a sheet over the washing line and peg it down.
Have no idea of the temperature - spent most of the day in the pub, with friends having lunch and, in my case, a few pints of London Pride bitter. :)

I had to use a fan during those couple of days. Only the second time I've had to deploy it in 20 years. But my living room does have natural air con like in Morocco.

Summer's over. Better get some two bobs for the gas meter.
well if that was summer it's still been better than some of the summers we've had here.
Never saw the sun for a fair few of them. Just slightly less cold for a few months then back to winter again.
