The Paradigm FOUNDER 100F Loudspeakers have been suggested to me by a dealer as improvement to my current set up, just wondering if anyone as heard them in action?

Hi-Fi News rated them highly in 2021 https://www.hifinews.com/content/paradigm-founder-100f-loudspeaker

I see they are around £6250, I would want a home demo for a week at least, then you will know.

They would come and install them and there is a 30 day no quibble return.

Sounds good to me.

I was not familiar with them so had a look at their range, if you feel like pushing the boat out, I think your amp is up to it, I'd be tempted to try a pair of these, but it's a big leap. https://www.stereophile.com/content/paradigm-persona-5f-loudspeaker:D

Dont think they would make it up the stairs to the loft and they are just a little out of my budget

They are only a little heavier. I am sure the 100F's will sound pretty good, I noted that they use there own isolation system, so might work very well in your loft, if need be you could place them on slate or oak slabs as well.

The dealer is fairly confident they would work well because of the isolation system, good trade-in offer on my ART’s. We are still pondering a house or adding a garden room, which I would use for my hifi / office.

They're a tough load, I'm not sure your amplifier will get the best out of them.

Also look like they will have a bright/toppy balance but that will depend on the room too.

At the moment on hold, in case we decide to move house. Looked at another property this morning which was lovely, apart from where to site the hifi , the only possible place would be to take over the dining part of the the open plan kitchen diner.

No idea. The measurements in that mag are seriously lacking in many respects, presumably to save space for the extensive cut and paste direct from the manufacturer's brochure and some rubbish about 'captivating highs.'

Not heard any models in the current range but have a couple of pairs of the active range they did from the late 90's and have been very impressed with them. So if you do go for the Founders, i'd be very interested in your impressions.
I haven't seen many people with Paradigm speakers, which surprises me as they offer very good value for money, all parts are made in-house and have extensive facilities for research etc.

Looks like the tweeter is set too high, as with many modern speakers. The following peaks and troughs are tweeter resonances or 'captivating highs'.

Yes, I have a couple of choices for the music too, a small bedroom or have garden room/ log cabin type thing in the garden.

I suggested that, but Robin didn't think it would be practical. :)

Too be honest, what’s not to enjoy in a garden room decent sound and the odd dram or two
