3099430995309963099730998Selling my EE Minimax Plus dac that I have turbocharged with some fancy opamps and a nice new valve.
Only selling due to ill health.
Tha dac is in excellent condition and comes with all original packagin, manual, spare fuses, QED interconnect and original EE branded valve.
The Opamp upgrades consist of two Dual Burson V6 Vivids and two Single NewClassD singles. These are the latest versions for both types.
The original opamps are included and can be easily changed over.
I have replaced the original valve with a lovely little Raytheon. The original is also included.
I have used the dac with a LUMIN U2 streaming transport, CD transport and laptop. Please note that the firmware for the usb input isn’t recognised by the newer streamers but did work fine with my older laptop. I spoke to Alex at EE and he says there are no plans to update the EE firmware. This wasn’t an issue for me as I used a BNC connector and Coax to good effect. The firmware used is M2Tech OEM 24bit 192KHz Async USB input so please check this will work if you want to use the usb input. Driver downloads are still available on the Eastern Electric Website.
Lots of reviews and opamp discussions online and I can confirm that this is still a great sounding dac. Sounded incredible with my LUMIN U2 transport. Provides a very deep soundstage that wraps around way outside the speakers.
Looking for £550 delivered.
