View Full Version : Passing on 78s

My father died recently. He was an avid collector of classical music and a great lover of old 78 recordings. Particularly opera.

However, the passion has not been passed on (well not to the same extent. I have his passion for music, but don't have the space or facilities to add all his 78s to my own collection).

Can anyone recommend an outlet or organisation that would be interesting in buying (or even being donated) a collection of 78s?

If in good condition I'm sure there will be interest.
PS sorry to hear about your dad

Thanks Grant. The records have been well looked after.

These web-sites might be of interest to you:

There are of course several other collectors and shops that will buy 78s, but they may only be interested in blues and jazz, and not classical music.
