This is the 3rd part of my existing system for sale as I am moving to a one box solution. It's also the one I shall miss the most given its superb sound quality and excellent interface for controlling your music sources.

Condition is excellent and it comes with all original accessories and packaging. One possible drawback is that ithe excellent Lighning DS control software only runs on iOS devices. I bought a second-hand iPad mini which I could include for a reasonable price if needed.

Price is £750 including UK mainland postage. Happy to meet up if not too far or you can come and have a listen and collect if you would prefer.

I should have said that the Altair can be set as fixed or variable output which means that it can be used direct into a power amp so for an all digital system it can act as a preamp. Connect a CD player TV etc for a very neat system especially when paired with my Nuprime AMG STA :lol:

I have to say, having tried a few streaming devices Auralic's is imo by far the best. I use Qobuz and the integration of the Lightning Streaming Platform with Qobuz is brilliant to the extent that you can pull up all of the information Qobuz provides, such as biographical details of artists within Lightning.

I sold this on ebay recently but the buyer had trouble using it over wifi. It has always worked flawlessly for me but that has been via a direct connection over ethernet to my router. He had a more complex set up with wifi boosters around his house and couldn't connect via ethernet so I accepted his return. He did get it to work over his wifi but it was unstable. I did some research to try and help the buyer and came across this article:

It includes this paragraph:

"The ability to stream Netflix or play Pandora on your smart speaker is not necessarily an indication that your router is able to properly handle particular multicasting (SSDP) messages without dropouts, or if your router is blocking certain (IGMP/ICMP) data packets AURALiC Lightning devices rely on to provide the best experience. Some routers (usually lower-performing models supplied by your Internet Service Provider) don’t handle this type of traffic due to their firmware, or, since this kind of UDP discovery data is more vulnerable, a weak WiFi connection will affect this even as your other data connections seem fine. Remote WiFi access points (WAPs) connected via ethernet to your router can work well, but avoid range extenders, or boosters, that connect wirelessly to your router."
