10C and a bit gloomy so far today.

April ended here on a crap note. Never left the house all day. Today looks like more of the same. I'll have to dig out my cagoule (got one here somewhere), because another indoors day and I'll be losing me marbles.
two competing weather threads now.

Mine is the original and best :)
Edit: I was beaten by one minute. Which makes mine the new improved version. But Geoff has seniority, so mods scrub mine if possible.
Maybe the weather will be better on this one?

Maybe the weather will be better on this one?
I'll tell you whatever you want to hear :)
Years ago, when we were setting off from Bedford to Cornwall on the bikes, we checked the forecast on BBC. It said heavy rain moving from the west. So we tried ITV to see if we could get a better forecast there. It was just as bad, and as it turned out they were both right :(
Sun is out now, I think we'll go out somewhere.
a bit of sol here now. 13c and slightly breezy

Like letting the cat out - it scratches on the back door, you open it, cat sees the rain, turns around and goes and scratches on the front door.

Cats are such morons. If they checked the weather forecasts they'd know not to bother.

9c and dry so far
Not too bad today, not great either. Still that easterly wind.
Nothing exciting in the 7 day forecast. Wind goes southerly but we get the gales back with it. Gusting 34 mph.
Warmed up a little in afternoon to about 11c.
Looked like rain but didnt

Ended up sunny about 11am and stayed that way. T shirt weather again, and drove home with arm out of the window again. Tomorrow is forecast sunshine all day here, so I'm going to spend it in the garden with R6 Music and working on a tan :) Cos as the great philosopher Gene Hunt would say, I'm white as a ginger bird's arse.
still cloudy but a bit warmer at 8c early on...

colder today as predicted plus still got that easterly wind.
Rain all night and then supposed to be thunderstorms tomorrow. Although I bet that won't happen. Wind swings round to the south.
Supposed to be warmer though so I'll take that.
Cold wind here too. Still it was fairly bright

Pretty c**p today - very dull, though not too cold, and not actually raining.
thunder here but only brief, had all the women screaming though as it was right overhead. Then a torrential downpour.
Really humid but it has been the first day this year that it's been a comfortable temperature outside. Might be the start of spring.
been a better day..still 10c... fog tonight and tomorrow and maybe a thunder storm in pm

12C and overcast. They say we'll get rain later.
wet this morning after a misty start. 10c
usual story for the weekend, brilliant sunshine early doors so no chance of sleeping late. As soon as I get up and make a brew it clouds over.
Rain forecast all afternoon. Not planning to leave the house so not that bothered. Just waiting for my neighbour to get up and I can put some music on.

It's been wanting to rain all day, but just can't seem to get started. So I mowed the lawn while it made its mind up. Actually Mrs. P took over while I stood there looking gormless, as I was doing it wrong.
we had a bit of a shower earlier but that's all. Supposed to be more rain this evening.

Well that was 30 minutes of the heaviest rain I've seen in a long time. Gone back to normal rain again, which it's been doing pretty much all day. I'll be interested to see how the river is tomorrow.
early afternoon was a lot better but rain came back in later pm then became pretty heavy. stopped now up to 15c

13C and pretty soggy after last night's rain. Gloomy.
Went camping today 16oC and sunny but got to the campsite 13 oC and horrendous heavy thunderstorms, hail and lightening. Back home now after not even bothering putting tent up or even getting out of the car.
Rain was so bad even had to go through a drive thru coffee rather than risk a coffee shop!

Should have come oop north James, we've got hazy sunshine and quite warm. And you could have pitched up in our garden. For a small fee. We even have a small site shop (the kitchen), where you can purchase Aldi produce at Waitrose prices :)

We are coming oop North in June (Northumberland) but if we get stranded in your neck of the woods we will make a detour! I think we are camping one night outside Kendal on the way but all depends on the Crap British weather.

Isn't there some unwritten law in Italy about not drinking cappuccino after 11am? Or did I dream that? Wouldn't do for me, espresso is just wrong. Needs milk.

Yeah well Americans know as much about proper tea as they do proper chocolate. You can get a decent brew on the continent, but you have to go to Spain, to one of those cafes that do cooked breakfasts and are festooned with union jacks. Anita never forgets to pack tea bags, it's an essential.

Quiet so far, with some sun. Supposed to get warmer with sun later on - hitting 20C.
Question - do I go out somewhere to enjoy it, or stay and do boring things like mowing the lawn?
The sun - if it happens - is likely to bring on the grass more - as the ground has obviously received enough watering to encourage it.
Sunny days are rare enough that this is a dilemma to think about. Otherwise it wouldn't matter so much!
Oh to be back in California, where one could actually plan outdoor events weeks in advance - though it did get rather hot.

well it's beautiful weather here so naturally I'm sat inside listening to music.

Days like this have me in a quandry - Mrs. P has left the house for a couple of hours, I want to play some tunes, but the sun is shining. So I lie in the garden for ten minutes before boredom sets in. Then I have an idea: trim the conifers! That way I get some sun while being useful and gaining brownie points :)
So that's what I do, for about another ten minutes. Then I accidentally cut through the cable and it's all over for the shears. So back inside to play a couple of records. I left all the crap in the garden so Mrs. P can see that I at least tried.
I was out in the sun earlier for about an hour or so, think I got about as much benefit as I was going to.
Forecast is for it to be sunny all week anyway so it's okay to squander it.

Yeah but you won't get the benefit at work unless your office has sliding roof doors like Mike Mercury had with Supercar.

Yeah sorry about that, beans on toast at dinnertime.
Can't say I've noticed Hamlets in the shops in ages. The adverts always showed someone smoking one to cheer himself up after things turned to shit, so they would probably sell well if they brought em back.

11C and the sun seems to be trying to break through the haze. Set to get pretty warm over next few days apparently.
Similar to here (Camden, London). Started off as a beautiful sunny day, but has now clouded over with a cooling breeze.
cloudy morning, sun all afternoon. A bit blowy but not enough to ruin it.
The sun came out in the afternoon. Looks like we will have fine weather for the rest of the week.
just looking at the forecast, even at night it only gets down to 9C. It was only a couple of weeks ago that 9C would have been a welcome temperature in the middle of the day.
Yes very nice warm dry spell at last. It might be the only bit of summer we get?

Well we had unbroken sunshine all day. And I'd left my hat at home. So now I can feel my head glowing, and I look like a match :( I'll be out in it all day tomorrow too, but I won't forget my hat this time. Lesson learned.

Another day of unbroken sunshine. 16C, so a bit cooler than yesterday.
cloudy and breezy; 14c or so.
sunny but windy enough to spoil it a bit.
That's the end of it for us, back to overcast for the rest of the week.

Hoping the fine weather will continue, apart from getting one of the vans MOT'd tomorrow, there's nowhere I need to be till next Tuesday. I get to bask in my laziness for a super-long weekend :)

Looks like another day of wall to wall blue sky. I'm going out there shortly to water the plants, then this evening I'll do the lawn, before the inevitable hosepipe ban begins

Similar for me.
Out on bike - 10C minimum
T shirt weather 15C minimum
Comfort range - 15-20C
If it gets past that - I want a parasol and a cold drink. And definitely no work.
Which means I only really like April, May and September. The rest of the year I just complain about the crap weather.
20C and sunny. Hardly any breeze. Best day yet.
Another beautiful sunny day - spent virtually all of it outside, doing very little (apart from drinking a few 'cold ones' and doing the crossword).

My hedge and bushes need doing. Trying to get friend of sons to do it again

Conifers trimmed, bushes trimmed, lawn edging done, half of the weeding done, mental woman next door's tree cut back (discretely), finally lawn and borders hosed.
Tomorrow morning will be about playing some tunes while Mrs. P mows the lawn as I don't do it right ;) Then in the afternoon I'll go out there to enjoy the fruits of her labour with a cold drink. It got to a sunny 20C today, which is just right, and looks set to be similar tomorrow.
Spent a lazy lunchtime drinking Sam Smith's bitter at the Swiss Cottage pub in London. [emoji3]

Bright start to the day and 12c
bright here, 12C rising to 17C later.
No rain forecast for a week and must be more than a week since we last had any. Need some soon since everything goes brown here real quick without rain because it's just rubble and slag heaps under all the grass and bushes.
up to 12c now. forecast is top 19c today and a staggering 22c tomorrow.... we shall see
Another beautiful sunny day here today.
not bad here too, a little bit hazy and there's a nip to the breeze but for round here it's close to as good as it gets.
