Turntable Sandbox, Yes/No, and Why?

Yet another rabbit hole to jump down. I'm always on the look out to try new stuff, yep, this is an old solution to vibration isolation but has anyone used one, has anyone got any experience? Opinions are always welcome.

SME produced an application note which examined the use of sand in a turntable support base/plinth.

I have custom built sand boxes under both turntables. Both tables are audibly more free of vibrational distortion. The sand box rabbit hole is only about six inches deep so if you have the skills or friends, why not give it a shot?
