As a computer numpty, I've been banging my head against a wall for around 3 years trying to download pics from Flickr to AOS using a MacBook. Grant has tried helping but I still can't do it and it's driving me nuts because I've got dozens of pics to post of new equipment.

I take the pics using my i-pad and can fumble through getting them on Flickr but from then on I'm lost. Another thing is I've lost the airdrop facility recently, getting a message about wrong format or something.

Can someone please help in language an idiot can understand..:stupid:

Ok Dave I will try.

When you log onto Flickr you should see in the top right hand part of the Home Screen a small cloud with an arrow on. Click on this. This takes you to a page that says choose photos and videos to upload. Click on this. this will take you to your MacBook which will then have a column with photos folder. Click on this. this will take you to your photos. find the photo you wish to upload and click on this. You then click the upload option and keep following until it appears in your Flickr account.

then find your pic on Flickr and click into it on photo stream. In the bottom right you will see an arrow -click on this and choose BB code. Copy this and then insert it into your post on AOS.

Dave, you should be able to host images with a third party site like https://imgbb.com/

It works fine for me on Windows and should be OK on Mac.

It's very easy to use and is free with no membership required.

If you get stuck, I can probably talk you through the (simple :)) process.

Thanks lads for the suggestions.

I am able to do the upload onto Flickr but can't work out how to then get those pics on AOS. I used to have a W10 laptop and did it with that but MacBooks have no 'right
click' so I'm lost. I'll investigate the BB code thingy but not sure how to 'copy' it. Told you I was useless.

I'll take a look at the other site as well. All else fails, my 5 year old Granddaughter is coming at the weekend..

It's a link Dave. Just left click on it and it should take you straight to the website.

OK, I've gone to flickr, found a pic, clicked on the arrow, chosen BB code and it shows up blue but how do I send that to the box on my AOS post ?

I still use a Mac and grab the BBE code on Flickr and post straight into AOS. Just copy and paste.
