Just stumbled across this forum, thought I'd join.

My taste in music is mainly female vocal (KT Tunstall, Kate Bush, Loreena McKennitt), prog rock (Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd) and occasional pop, rock and metal. Not a musician myself but I sing along.

The very best music moves me greatly. I also like hifi with lots of buttons. My first system was an ERA/SME/V15 Type III, Armstrong 621 and B&W DMs - bought with student vacation earnings! Have more flirted with Meridian when I thought I could afford it, loved and lost a lovely pair of KEF 104.2s...

Hi from me :)

That first system of yours was quite desirable back then, but the Era's weren't reliable (my mate to whom I sold one in 1975) had a wobbly bearing within a very few weeks and replaced it with a Techie SL120). I loved the styling (but not the early unreliability) of the 621 and the earlier DM whatevers (1, 2, 3 &4) were very good and still are in some ways.

Perhaps "we" could get you to change the highly suspect B1 in your office ;)

Hello Ed and welcome,

I live along the road from you and work in Bognor quite often like this week for instance, if you are interested in a pair of Kef 105.3 as i might be persuaded to part with mine ;)

Hi Ed, and welcome. Just spent the weekend in your fine town - well most of it was locked in the compound with Billy, but we did get along the prom and saw the festivities taking place.

You'll find plenty of people on here sharing your music passions, and maybe get some pointers on new stuff to try.

Enjoy AoS.
